Analytics Homework

If you haven't already done so, set up Google Analytics on your blog. Normally you'd have to install the Google Analytics plugin first. You don't need to do that as I asked the university to include this plugin in the default settings. Since it is already installed on our version of Wordpress, all you have to do is set it up. To do so:

1) Go to your dashboard and click on "settings"

2) Navigate to "Google Analytics" and click on it. This will bring up the following screen:

3. Follow the "sign up for Analytics" link to sign into Google and fill out the form to get your tracking code. Your code will look like this:

4. Go back to your dashboard, click on "Settings," then "Google Analytics" and cut and paste your tracking code into the box labeled "site tracking code". Click "save changes". Note that it will take at least a day for the changes to take effect.

5. Log into Google Analytics (www.google.com/analytics) and take a screenshot showing your blog's audience overview statistics. Save the screenshot into a Word document and upload it to the Homework assignments folder on Blackboard.
